Music and dance are integral part of Indian culture.To preserve and propagate Indian music and
dance which includes both Karnatic and Hindustani music, and dance forms like Kathak,
Bharathnatyam, Kuchipudi, & Perini. The erstwhile government of united Andhra Pradesh started
colleges, schools of music and dance.
One of the oldest colleges in this category is Sri Thyagaraja Government college of music and
dance. The college was established in year 1952.The college located in Ramkoti, Hyderabad. It is
spread over very large area with numerous classrooms. He college has completed 64 years of
service successfully.This college offers both south indian and north indian styles of music and
dance.
